Featured Artist: Bea Kuhlke
Bea Kuhlke taught classes at The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art for over 25 years and privately for several years. She now gives occasional workshops. The most recent were at the Aiken Center for The Arts and The Morris Museum of Art.
Teachers who had influence on Kuhlke’s work were the late Hans J. Staude- Florence, Italy; Marjorie Dean Andruk- St. Petersburg, Florida; and the late Freeman Schoolcraft of Augusta.
Miss Kuhlke is a full time studio painter in Aiken, South Carolina. Subject matter includes dogs, and interiors with dogs, still life, landscapes, and people.
